Corrugated board users of the world, let Isowa machines take care of making the boxes that protect your products!
The world's fastest single facer
The reputation built up by the 82 years of technology and reliability nurtured by Isowa has brought it to the point where its equipment is, in some way, involved in the manufacturing of approximately two-thirds of the corrugated materials in Japan. Isowa equipment can also be found in virtually any country in the world that uses corrugated materials. This impressive record is backed by more than 1,000 patents in Japan and overseas.
One of Isowa's core technologies is its corrugated board-forming machine, known as a corrugator, which incorporates the world's fastest single-facer (500 meters per minute). The single facer is a device that creates the flute formation which characterizes corrugated paper.
Isowa has the know-how to design corrugated factories that can integrate the fastest machines such as these. Corrugated factories are comprised of equipment performing detailed operations and most of them operate as integrated plants. Recently, the demand for plant production that can handle a variety of products has been growing, with some of the larger plants installing the equipment of more than 100 meters in length.
Isowa can assist totally with plant planning, design, assembly and installation as well as take care of the upgradeing/retrofitting that may be required in the future.
An environmentally friendly manufacturer
Throughout Isowa's history of manufacturing, it has striven to introduce technology that could help the environment in the "old-yet-new" corrugated industry. One excellent example of helping the environment is "SuperFlex." This pioneering system reduces the amount of residual ink generated during a single color-changing operation from 50 or 60 liters to just 200 cc, making it a big hit in Europe and the United States as well as in Japan. It has earned high praise from factories in areas with stringent environmental regulations or companies acquiring ISO14000 certification. Isowa has dedicated itself to being an even better environmentally friendly manufacturer.
