Sansyu Precision is a company where the spirit of challenge takes root
The founder of Sansyu, Tsuneichi Kamiya, originally left his home in Takahama (a suburb of Nagoya) to become an artist and to sell bonsai pots. During the war, he was forced to change jobs and became involved with precision parts when he started making the hands for wristwatches.
As a result of pursuing the company's specialty, precision manufacturing, Sansyu devised a unique, ultra-small, precision-molding technology (as used for printer parts and wristwatch gears), ultra thin-wall molding technology (as used for the mechanical parts for copy machines) and technology for molding dissimilar materials, (as in illuminated power window switches). These technologies are used in the supply of the numerous small parts that have become indispensable in such products as major-brand printers, office equipment, digital cameras, bearings and medical equipment. When you see the wonderful parts created by combinations of the different colors and materials, such as ABS or PC resins, brought together by the company's twocolor molding process, you begin to understand why this area of Japan supports our tradition of monozukuri, the craft of manufacturing goods.
Striving to be a subcontractor to the world
One of the reasons for the company's growth is the environment that allows employees to have open dialog with the President and to challenge new areas based on the desires and aptitude of those involved. It has formed a system enabling it to make items that are better than what were ordered, regardless of which of the many fields of industry the order comes from.
Sansyu also has no intention of moving its main factory from this area. While many companies are moving their production bases overseas, this company has become even more determined to remain here and continue producing high-quality manufactured goods as it strives to become a subcontractor to the world.
